Data sources

Connect your own data. The engine does the rest.

HelloSeek uses your Google Search Console, and optionally DataForSEO and Google Trends, to choose topics people search for, write articles that cover what the ranking pages miss, and track them after they publish. Your accounts stay yours, and access is read-only wherever it can be.

What you connect, and what the engine does with it.

Google Search Console

RecommendedFree
What you provide
  1. 1In Google Cloud, create a service account, enable the Search Console API and download its JSON key.
  2. 2In Search Console, open Settings → Users and permissions, add the service account's email and give it Restricted (read-only) access.
  3. 3In HelloSeek, paste the property exactly as Search Console names it (https://www.example.com/ or sc-domain:example.com), the account's email and its private key, then press Test connection.
What the engine does with it
  • Finds striking-distance queries: at least 50 impressions with an average position of 8–20.
  • Finds queries with a low click-through rate for their position, an opening for a better, clearer answer.
  • Measures demand and momentum from your own impressions.
  • Tracks your published articles' position, clicks, impressions and CTR every day.
  • Flags decay: a drop of 3+ positions suggests a refresh, 10+ a rewrite; 180-day-old pages get reviewed.

DataForSEO

OptionalYour own pay-as-you-go account, about $0.13 per weekly discovery run
What you provide
  1. 1Sign up at DataForSEO and add your API login and password in HelloSeek, then press Test connection.
What the engine does with it
  • Search volume and keyword difficulty for every topic idea.
  • A live look at the first page of Google: which sites rank, and where forums like Reddit or Quora show room to win.
  • The ranking pages' patterns and weak spots go straight into research, so articles cover what they miss.
  • Google Trends interest over time, for momentum.

Pexels

OptionalFree API key
What you provide
  1. 1Create a free Pexels API key and add it in HelloSeek.
What the engine does with it
  • A featured image and two in the body for every article, with alt text and photographer credit, re-hosted on your side.

Your brand knowledge

RequiredYour time, once
What you provide
  1. 1Describe your positioning, products, audiences and the problems you solve.
  2. 2List the claims the engine must never make, and any trusted research sources (up to 20 URLs).
What the engine does with it
  • Every topic is scored on how closely it connects to your business; weak fits are vetoed before any writing.
  • Articles are written from your facts and voice, and AI claims about you are fact-checked against them.

AI writing and research

IncludedIncluded, drawn from your plan's monthly content budget
What you provide
  1. 1Nothing. You can add your own Anthropic key if you prefer.
What the engine does with it
  • Live web research, writing, the humanize pass, editorial review and optimization, with every cent recorded per article.
SEO

How it helps you rank on Google.

  • Striking-distance gapsQueries where you already rank 8–20 with real impressions are the fastest wins. The engine writes for them first.
  • Low click-through fixesQueries that get seen but not clicked, compared with the CTR expected for that position, become targets for a clearer answer.
  • Demand and difficultySearch volume and keyword difficulty weigh every idea, so effort goes where traffic is reachable.
  • What the ranking pages missThe live first page is studied before writing: competing pages, common patterns and weak spots go into research.
  • On-page done for youMeta title and description, internal links to your own articles, images with alt text, Article schema.
  • Decay caught earlyDaily ranking data flags articles that slip, and suggests a refresh or a rewrite for you to approve.
AEO

How it helps you get cited by AI.

  • Answer summariesEvery article opens with a short, quotable answer, the part AI engines lift.
  • FAQ and FAQPage schema3–6 real questions with direct answers, marked up so engines can read them.
  • Sourced factsClaims tie to numbered sources from live research. No invented statistics.
  • Citation trackingSee whether ChatGPT and Claude name and cite you for your tracked questions.
  • Brand perceptionWhat AI says about you, with wrong claims caught and turned into articles that correct them.
  • llms.txtHelloSeek generates an llms.txt summary of your site that you can publish for language models.
Topic scoring

Eleven factors decide what gets written.

Every idea is scored on these factors before a word is written. A topic needs 55 out of 100 to go ahead, and anything weakly tied to your brand is dropped regardless of its other scores.

If you skip one

Only two things are required. Everything else makes it better.

Your brand knowledge and a place to publish. Here's what happens without each optional source.

Without Search Console
The engine can't see your own queries or track rankings. Topics come from DataForSEO, trends and AI ideas based on your brand.
Without DataForSEO
Volume, difficulty and live-SERP signals score a neutral middle value; topics come from Search Console, trends and your brand knowledge.
Without Google Trends
No daily trending topics; momentum comes from Search Console instead.
Without Pexels
Articles publish without stock images; add your own on the review screen.
Getting started

Set up in an afternoon. Your first article that week.

  1. 01Required

Add your site and brand knowledge

Positioning, products, audiences, problems you solve, and claims to never make.

  2. 02Required

    Connect where articles publish

WordPress, Framer or HelloFeed CMS, or turn on the Blog API for any other site.

  3. 03

    Connect Search Console

Recommended. Read-only access to your own property.

  4. 04

Add DataForSEO, Pexels and your Trends country

Optional. Each one has a Test connection button.

  5. 05

    Set your budget

Daily and monthly caps. A cap of 0 means nothing runs on its own.

  6. 06

    Approve your first article

The engine proposes topics, writes the first draft, and waits for you.

Security

Your keys, locked away.

  • Keys encrypted with AES-256-GCM
  • Only the last four characters are ever shown
  • Search Console access is read-only
  • Test connection before anything runs
  • Every change written to the audit log
  • Revoke access from your own accounts at any time

Questions about your data.

Do I need my own accounts?+

Yes, for your data: Search Console (free) is recommended, and DataForSEO (pay-as-you-go) and Pexels (free) are optional. Google Trends needs no account. AI writing and research are included in your plan.

What access does HelloSeek get to Search Console?+

Read-only. You add a service account as a Restricted user on your property, and the engine only reads search analytics. It can't change anything in Search Console. Remove the user at any time to revoke access.

How are my keys stored?+

Encrypted with AES-256-GCM. After you save a key, HelloSeek only ever shows its last four characters, and every change is recorded in the audit log.

What does DataForSEO cost?+

You pay DataForSEO directly. A weekly discovery run costs roughly $0.13. Without it, HelloSeek still works from your Search Console data and brand knowledge.

Does connecting these guarantee rankings?+

No one can guarantee rankings. The data makes sure the engine writes about what people search for, covers what the ranking pages miss, and tells you when an article needs attention.

What's actually required to start?+

Two things: your brand knowledge and a place to publish. Everything else improves results but is optional.

Track.Understand.Get cited.

Connect your data. Get your first article this week.

Set up your first site in about ten minutes. Nothing runs or spends until you turn it on.
